Fall + Halloween Ceramics
Session 1: September 6 - October 11
In six cozy, creative weeks, you'll learn the basics of clay: pinch, coil, and slab techniques, all while crafting fall-inspired ceramics that are equal parts functional and festive.
Thanksgiving Ceramics
Session 2: October 18 - November 22
During these six weeks, youβll shape clay into heartfelt pieces that celebrate connection, tradition, and the little things weβre thankful for.
Winter Ceramics
Session 3: November 29 - December 20
In this 4-week winter workshop, students of all ages will explore clay as a way to celebrate the seasonβthrough symbolic ornaments, snowflake tiles, and winter-inspired textures that shimmer, sparkle, and tell a story.
Classes are split by age group, but the vibes are the same across the board: casual, fun, and clay-covered.
No experience neededβjust bring your imagination.
Adult Classes
Unplug, unwind, and let your creativity run wild. Our adult clay classes are equal parts skill-building and stress relief. Perfect for beginners or seasoned makers.
Youth Classes
Our youth classes turn just playing with clay into real artistic adventures. Students will have a blast building confidence in their skills. Messy clothes encouraged. Big imaginations required.
Meet the teacher
Hi, I'm Christopher McVay ππ»
I'm a ceramics instructor and multidisciplinary artist with over 10 years of experience teaching art in Spring Branch ISD, from PreK to 12th grade. I've also had the joy of teaching adults and helping them reconnect with their creativity.
My artistic practice spans fibers, especially yarn and crochet, and digital art, backed by a background in advertising and graphic design. I love creating welcoming, hands-on classes where beginners can explore clay, express themselves, and have fun.
Letβs make something beautiful together!

HOUSTON-BASED POP ARTIST
Julia McLaurin
Iβm a neo-pop artist (an artist influenced by pop art) and clay is my medium of choice. I challenge myself to show the beauty in everyday, otherwise mundane objects. Through the method of slab-building, I create ginormous, fun, and whimsical works of art!
